Hi, I’m Mel!

I’ve been a violin luthier for over ten years, and I absolutely love what I do. I started out in a well known Brisbane workshop, learning the craft from an incredibly talented luthier who inspired my passion for string instrument repair.

Since then, I’ve worked on all kinds of instruments - violins, violas, cellos, and double basses- doing everything from new setups to detailed restorations. What I love most is that every instrument is different, with its own quirks, challenges, and beautiful sound just waiting to shine.
